These scary-looking guys are actually the fierce friends of abused animals...
..".We met because we were all doing the same thing on our spare time: rescuing and finding homes for abandoned and abused animals. None of us did it for money; we did it because we cannot stand by while anyone mistreats an animal!
We formed Rescue Ink™ because the problem of animal abuse and neglect has grown beyond the resources of the existing animal welfare agencies. We love the work done by some of the local shelters, but they cannot possibly keep pace with the volume of problems that need to be addressed. "
They still like tattoo parlors, bikes, custom cars and bodybuilding, but Rescue Ink's most important
assignment is protecting animals from abuse.
Once of them is even a vegetarian.
They are bringing the issue of animal abuse to publications like Inked, which might not otherwise
notice it.
Armed with tough faces and tender compassion, they are patrolling the Long Island/NYC area, rescuing
tormented cats and dogs- and occaisionally solving missing pet cases.

An excerpt:
"Having run in crowds where animal abuse was rampant, often involving pit bull fights, the men volunteered at shelters and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty Toward Animals, and they tried to solve cases of missing or abused animals that other organizations had neither the time nor the resources to address. Next month, the bikers will begin a program in the city’s public schools to educate children about being kind to all animals, even the less attractive breeds. They will be accompanied by Elwood, a small, hairless Chihuahua mix judged in an annual California contest to be the World’s Ugliest Dog."

Rescue Ink needs donations to continue their work. If you read the links and want to give, you can do so here. They also have a page for adoptions if you are looking for a pet. But be warned: if you don't treat yer new friend right, show him/her some respect, you-know-what-I'm-sayin'- dese guys might have to pay you a lil' visit.
Be a shame if dese guys hadda' do that, know-what-I-mean?
"We think boys are rude, unsensitive animals but it is not so in all cases. Each boy has one or two sensitive spots, and if you can find out where they are located you have only to touch them and you can scorch him as with fire."
