Sandmonkey's blog is back up, and once again showing the Egypt Right Now essay.
Michael Totten is reporting that the blog had been taken down due to a DDoS attack, and there have been rumors that the attack came from Saudi Arabia.
There are fresh tweets on Sandmonkey's Twitter feed as well. Taken together, this makes me tentatively relieved- but it's no use pretending that the Egyptian authorities have lost interest in Sandmonkey.
Thanks to all who tweeted and posted about Egypt Right Now. In doing so you may have helped to protect Sandmonkey- the more attention he receives, the harder it will be for the regime to simply dispose of him.
I'm not in Egypt and I do not know the full truth of what is happening there. And none of us knows how it will end. But I believe Sandmonkey, at least, deserves my full support. He will continue to get it.
